Fluid Air builds fluid bed processing, drying, and coating equipment for the pharmaceutical, food, and chemical industries. Founded in 1983 and based in Naperville, Illinois, its systems cover granulation, drying, pellet coating, and particle engineering from laboratory through production scale.
In The Techceuticals Lab
Fluid Air Fluid Bed Processor
The Fluid Air fluid bed processor in the Techceuticals lab is used for granulation, drying, and
pellet coating training. Trainees learn to control inlet air temperature and volume, spray
rate, and atomization, and to read a drying curve rather than simply waiting out a timer.
Because the lab runs more than one fluid bed platform, trainees also see that fluid bed
principles transfer between manufacturers while the controls and the operator experience do
not.
