Gerteis is a Swiss manufacturer specializing in roller compaction and dry granulation, principally for pharmaceutical manufacturing, with further applications in the chemical and food industries. Founded in 1986 and based in Jona, Switzerland, its Pactor line runs from laboratory development units through to full production scale, with a design philosophy built around reproducible ribbon quality and direct scale-up between machine sizes.

Gerteis Mini-Pactor 250/25 Roller Compactor
The Gerteis Mini-Pactor in the Techceuticals lab is a laboratory-scale roller compactor used
for dry granulation training and process development. Trainees run the full compaction
sequence: setting roll pressure, gap, and speed, judging ribbon quality by hand and by
measurement, and milling ribbon into granule. Because the Mini-Pactor is designed to scale
directly to production Pactor units, it is also the machine trainees use to understand why dry
granulation parameters transfer between scales in a way that many wet processes do not.
