MG2 builds continuous motion capsule filling and process equipment for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and medical device industries from its base in Bologna, Italy. Founded in 1966, its dosator-based fillers are used worldwide for powder, pellet, tablet, and liquid capsule filling across R&D, clinical, and full production scale.
In North America, MG2 is represented by MG America, which supplies European-built processing, packaging, inspection, and material handling equipment to pharmaceutical, nutritional, OTC, and medical device manufacturers across the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico. A subsidiary of MG2 since 1987, its Fairfield, New Jersey site runs a clean room for capsule filling trials and a technology showroom for demonstrations and training. MG America co-hosts the Techceuticals Encapsulation Technologies course.
In The Techceuticals Lab
MG2 Suprema Capsule Filler
The MG2 Suprema in the Techceuticals lab is a dosator capsule filler used for encapsulation
training, placebo capsule runs, and formulation development. Trainees work through dosator
selection and setup, powder bed height, tamping, and fill weight control, and learn to read the
relationship between formulation properties and capsule weight variation. The machine also
anchors the dosator demonstrations that make the encapsulation course hands-on rather than
theoretical.
FCP Capsule Polisher
The FCP capsule polisher supports capsule production in the lab by removing surface powder
from filled capsules before inspection and weighing. Trainees see how polishing affects capsule
appearance and downstream weight checks, and where it fits in a finished encapsulation line.
